How to get the photo sharing to work

Make sure you have 2 buttons, one labeled "download", and one labeled "upload", an image, and the "RealtimeDB" and "MediaDB" components:

Copy this block code (Make sure Button1 is the download button and Button2 is the upload):

Make a Cloudinary account and verify your email:

Go to your dashboard and copy and paste the Could name, API Key, and API Secret into thunkable:

Now go to Firebase, log in with your google account, and create a new project:

Next from the console, copy the API Key and Database URL (don't use mine) into Thunkable like I show below:

Next from the Firebase console, on the left side, go to Develop > Database and from there create a new database:

From there, at the top, switch to "Realtime Database"

Then go to the "Rules" tab and switch the Read and Write permissions to: "True"

Now test to see if it works. Go on your mobile and upload an image, wait a few seconds then click download to see if you can receive it. If that works than you're ready to try it with another phone :). ALSO: On the second phone make sure all your API keys and URL's are the exact SAME as your first ones.

Friday Post - September 14th, 2018

1. 6 Photoshop Shortcuts

CTRL + T - Transform Tool (to modify the size of an image)
V - Move Tool (to move objects around)
CTRL + J - Create a new layer and copy the selection
CTRL + D - Deselect selection
CTRL + Shift + N - Invert Selection
T - Text Tool (create text)

2. Octopus

I used the quick selection tool (W) and selected the octopus. I then copied the selection (CTRL + C) and created a new document and pasted it in there to make it easier. I then used the eraser tool (E) and fine tuned the edges and stuff to make it look pretty smooth.

Friday Post

1.) What do you already know?

I know a lot about computers. I grew up using them and I really enjoy it. I know how to program in Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java, C#, Python and GML. I have made a few games which you can see from my blog in my previous years in IT as an independent student:

Grade 9: ritoplsnerf.blogspot.ca
Grade 10: djelerit10.blogspot.ca
Grade 11: djelerit11.blogspot.ca

In these blogs you can see my learning experience with many programs including: Photoshop, 3dsmax, Animate, Unity and Game Maker Studio.

Some things I've made:

A sword in 3dsmax:

A real-looking coca-cola glass in 3dsmax:

A space shooter game in Unity:
(can still be played here: https://bluetoxic.itch.io/space-shooter)

Here is one of the tutorials I watched to show me how to make a pokeball in 3dsmax:

2) What do you want to learn?

Since this is my last year in high school I want to learn something that applies to what I want to do post-secondary. My plans after I graduate are to go to university and get a bachelors in Computer Information Systems. So, because of that, I want to learn more programming etc. I also want to learn how to use programs like photoshop that will come in useful in the future if i ever need to use them.

3) How will computers fit into your future?
As I explained above, I plan to do computers in post-secondary because I enjoy it.
