Exit Interview
1. Comment about your work ethic in this course.
My work ethic this year has been better than previous years. I enjoyed this course more and in general put more effort into my blog and the assignments
2. Which assignments did you enjoy and why?
I enjoyed the Raft assignment as it was very interesting to try out a new game and write about it. It wasn't very difficult either which made it more fun in a sense where you could be more creative with building your raft.
3. Which assignments did you struggle with and why?
The assignments I struggled with the most were the Sketchup as they took the longest to complete.

Raft Play 4
1. If I were to start over
From memory, first 10 steps:
1. Collect a lot of resources (barrels, wood, plastic and leaves)
2. Expand the raft by adding some foundations around so when the shark attacks it doesn't break your items
3. Build a water purifier and place it anywhere but the edge
4. Build a simple grill and place it beside the water purifier
5. Build a fishing rod and starting fishing
6. Cook the fish and eat it
7. Made a cup and make some freshwater using the purifier
8. Go to an island and use an anchor to dock and forage it
9. Build a crop plot and place your seed of choice to start a farm
10. Expand your raft and make a second floor and more stuff like research tables etc.
The best tool to make for survival is the metal hook. It is really fast and makes collecting resources and foraging double the speed of the plastic hook.

My Raft to date:
The best feature on my raft is my sail. Without it I wouldn't have been able to get half the stuff off islands.

Raft Play 3
1. What NEW things did you build today? [IMAGE]
Today I planned on building a smelter but I couldn't find an island to get the resources. So I spent the whole class adding on to my raft and adding walls, a bed and more floors. I found a lucky cat from fishing and I put it right beside my bed.
2. How will these NEW things help you play the game (TIPS&TRICKS)?
The bed is very useful as it lets you skip the nighttime making it easier for you to pick up stuff.
3. What strategies are you going to try to focus on tomorrow?
Tomorrow I plan on finishing the smelter and I hope I can find an island
4. Add a picture of your raft. (include a caption)
Explain why you built the raft the way you did.

I added the half walls around to make it easier to still fish stuff in without having a wall blocking you.

Raft Play 2
1. What specifically did you do today?
Today I expanded my boat and made it bigger. I also docked at an island and collected a lot of loot from it. I made a little pineapple farm as well on my boat.
2. What did you learn about how to play the game (TIPS&TRICKS)?
The shark bait is very useful when you want to go underwater to get some resources
3. What strategies are you going to try to focus on tomorrow?
Tomorrow I will try to get some metal and find out how to make ingots because those are very useful to upgrade your arsenal from wooden tools to metal tools.
4. Add a picture of your raft. (include a caption) Explain what you have done to your raft and WHY.

I added a pineapple farm to get me food. The research table is used to research new things to craft. And I was noticing that my inventory kept getting full so I expanded my storage and made more storage boxes. The sail is used to make me move faster and also to choose a direction to go so you can go to sails and get more loot.

Raft Day 1
The Raft Basics
The Raft is a survival game that takes place in the middle of the ocean. You have to obtain food and water and materials to craft stuff.
Click "New World" to make a new world
Make a name and deselect the 2 check boxes
Click "Create World" to start
You start off with a 2x2 raft and a hook. Hold the left mouse button to charge it and then throw out the hook and try to pull some debris in.
Try to collect barrels because they give a lot of stuff
You can also collect debris by getting close to it and pressing E
After you collect some debris, make open up the inventory with "I" and craft a paddle
If you don't have enough rope like me you can craft some using leaves
Using the paddle you can swim to islands and pick up resources
Uh oh, I'm dying of thirst. Lets make a water purifier and a cup and collect some salt water with the cup and purify it.
Good now my thirst is quenched. But, I'm starting to get hungry. I have some potatoes in my inventory that I collected from the ocean so I will eat that.
Now use these tips to survive your first night in Raft!
